A BAFTA TRIBUTE: RAY MERRIN
BAFTA will host a special tribute to Ray Merrin in recognition of his outstanding contribution to sound design. Merrin’s credits include some of the most celebrated films in cinema history including Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, The ShiningAlien and Trainspotting.

Having hosted the Film Awards an incredible 12 times, Stephen Fry hasstepped down this year. Our fabulous new host will be revealed at next week’s nominations announcement.
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL’S OVO TO FEATURE AT AWARDS
Cirque de Soleil will perform a piece specially created for BAFTA at next month’s Film Awards. The entertainment company will be in residence at the Royal Albert Hall at the time of the ceremony with its latest touring show, OVO.
