Di Vito “Nik H.” Nicoletti
Hi Gisele!! It’s a great pleasure to have you as our guest on Vocespettacolo.com. Lets’ start from the first question.. Can you tell us a little about yourself? …Who is Gisele Mauvecin?
I am a passionate person whos lives life intensively, being grateful and conscious everything has a reason to be. I give my best in each thing I do because I know that dreams come true if you work for it and of course if it has to be.
How did you start and how was your first experience in the industry?
I started working as an actress in drama plays and adverts. Then I got my first role as an actress in a future film. My first film was in Argentina, were I’m from. It was a great experience, was a secondary role. I paid a lot of attention to all the dynamics in the set, to the directors, I learned a lot, I made a lot of new contacts and I had more work because of that contacts so you need to exploit each experience as much as you can.
Can you tell us something about your experience?
I have been working in different countries in films, tv series and adverts. In my last film as a lead actress I was also the writer so I’m very happy about that. I learned that limits are only in your mind, you can do as much as you want if you really believe that first and work for it then.
What’s the best and worst aspect of your job?
The best thing is the freedom you feel when acting. When you are an actor you need to observe others and try to think and feel like them and you stop judging.
You can feel and think as any other person in that moment, but when the director says cut, there is you again but enriched as a person. You become more and more sensitive, comprehensive and compassionate with others.
I wouldn’t say the worst, maybe the hardest thing is to manage your anxiety when you finish a project because you want more immediately, haha. Also it is not easy to manage the auditions process, you need to be self confident and learn to manage your nerves and anxiety.
How do you handle the pressure that this type of job involves?
I practice Reiki and meditation. I also try to connect with nature, animals and the grateful emotion to harmonise myself.
What does Mor like the most about herself and what the less?
I like my determination, my spiritual strength and my confidence that the purpose of my life will put me in the right place at the right time.
I like less my exigent aspect with myself and others, it’s something I am working about myself.
What are your best satisfactions you had in your life and career?
When I was young I decided to study another type of career because being an actress and getting well paid was very difficult in my city. I used to have a great job in a big company, I was married, I had my flat, my car, I was happy but it wasn’t my life. So one day I talked to my dad and I said: Dad I don’t know what to do with my life, I am an actress and always been as such and feel complete when I act but I can’t do it because I’m working all day and my husband doesn’t support me as an actress…”He said, it doesn’t matter what you “have” to do, it doesn’t matter if you need to quit your job, start another career, move to another country or another city, that’s not important. The only important thing is to do what makes you happy every day because this is your life.” A couple of months later he died…so since that moment I did something that makes me happy every day, I left everything and now I am who the real myself is. I decide how to live my life each day. So that transformation and changing my life is the most important satisfaction I’ve ever had. As a professional, the best satisfaction was being the lead actress of my own script in London.
Is life always better than a nice movie?
Yes always, because it’s real. It doesn’t matter how hard a moment can be, it’s because of a better reason.
What are your project for the future?
I´ll be acting in a future film in London in may, then I’ll be back to Argentina to act in another future film so it will be a busy year hopefully. But I´ll be very concentrated also to find producers to shoot one script of mine, it talks about harassment in the film industry, I wrote it two years ago…yes, I was a visioner haha
I am sorry I couldn’t shoot it before Hollywood harassment news, but it’s still important to keep talking about this.
What’s happiness for Gisele?
Think, feel and act in the same way. Being grateful about the minimum and obvious things: friends, love, family, health, that’s happiness. Happiness is the constant which is alterated for some moments. You need to manage those moments to go back to your happy life. It’s all about attitude.
Thanks a lot Gisele, you’ve been very kind. Voce Spettacolo wishes you all the best in your career and life.
