Il tuo nuovo singolo « Nobody does it better » è appena uscito. Ci dici qualcosa a proposito e cosa ti aspetti?
Grazie 🙂

ENGLISH VERSION

Hi Michael, thanks for being our guest on Voce spettacolo!
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you started working as a dj and producer?

Hey, thanks for having me 🙂
I started music when I was 15 and I never stopped. At the beginning I was just having fun on the computer of my mom and then I fell in love for music production. A few years later, around 16/17 I started to try djing and it was pretty cool. For about 3 years I worked as DJ/producer and then I had my first big record called « Resurrection » and everything went quicker.

Where did you get your style influence from and what most inspires you, nowadays?

As I always said, everything is inspiring me, from movies, landscapes, meetings, people face in the street, colors, photography. I’m like in a movie. You know most of the time when you are listening to your favorite music, you may have the music video in mind, for me it’s almost the same but the music is coming after images.

It seems French djs are doing great within international dance soundscape, perhaps also thanks to their capabilities to support each others and being able to build a strong network. What do you think about this?

I don’t know, few years ago, it was pretty hard to find someone who wants to help you. Everybody wanted to keep his piece of the cake. From my personal point of view, the cake is so big so everyone can eat on my piece, I don’t really care. I’m not doing this for the fame, just to live thanks to my passion.
That’s why I’m supporting a lot of people in my radioshows or by reposting music on soundcloud. If I can help someone who need more exposure I’ll do it. Probably because I’m trusting in Karma, haha..

How has you life changed since you started and how do you manage it according to your busy career schedule and to the fact of being always on the move around the world?

Honestly? Nothing has changed. I’m still during the week at home with my friends and family and the weekend on tour. For me it’s like normal life, for people it can be special but I have a schedule like everyone (just the fact that I can maybe sleep more than others). I’m really thankful for the life I have, able to visiting the world every week is just amazing but I keep my feet on the ground.

How do you consider European dance music environment in the industry, comparing it to the socalled “Old School” also considering the explosion of EDM? What do you think is going to be the next dance music trend?

The funny thing is last year or two year ago I think that Europe was providing all trends in terms of dance music all over the world, but the game is changing. I think now US is providing such good music (in electronic music) that they start to take over on trends etc.
You know I’m a big fan of real house music and not really a big fan of EDM. I need feeling in music, I’m more than happy when I’m playing in club and some people are not looking at me (because it’s the new trend to look the artist) but having fun together it means that my music is giving them something.
So EDM was a trend now we need to move on, the world is so hard to have hard music in club. We are going to something cooler, I hope. We never know where the music is going.

You’ve worked with important artists like Bob Sinclar, John Dahlback, Fedde Le Grand and many others. What was you most gratifying professional experience?

Yes it’s true I worked with them at the beginning of my career and it was great they are all really nice and I learnt a lot of things. I was a kid. Now I’m doing less collaboration not because I don’t want but because I want to work on my own sound. The gratifying experience? Hum.. I’ll say when you work hard and you see that your music has an impact on people, this is gratifying.

You new single “Nobody does it better” has just been released. Can you tell us a bit in regards to it and what your expectations are?

Yes, just released it and supports are amazing in few weeks I had million plays etc.. it’s amazing. I’m really happy that people like this record. When I was younger I expected a lot from my music “I hope it gonna work” “I hope it will be a hit” I know now that you never know. That’s why this industry is magic, you have no rules. So I’m just making music I love, if it’s big I’m happy, if not, I’m happy.

Where do you see yourself in the next future? What are your projects?

At home with friends and family like the last few years. I have a lot of project and even if I started to make music 10 years ago now, I have still this thing in my heart and my mind, it pushing me to work harder and harder and make the music I love.
I have around 3 or 4 record ready! Can’t wait to show you..

Thanks for your time Michael, Voce Spettacolo wishes you the best for your life and career!

Thank you 🙂
