Di Vito “Nik H.” Nicoletti
Hi Marygold!! It’s a great pleasure to have you as our guest on Vocespettacolo.com. Lets’ start from the first question.. Let’s have a jump into the past. What was your dream since when you were a kid?…What would you like to do?
I always loved singing and dancing and knew I wanted to be a performer. I remember being four years old, and think Shirley Temple was the coolest person in the world.
Can you tell us a little about yourself?…Who is Marygold?
My main goal in life is to bring people joy, especially through music. My hope is that someone goes to a show or hears a track; and that one of my songs makes them feel something positive. Whether it be a sense of strength or belonging, I want people to know they’re worthy and not alone in life.
What’s the perfect formula for a successful song?
No idea. I just always try to speak from my heart and make sure every lyric holds weight. I’m not into writing filler lyrics. If it’s out there, it should mean something.
Within yourself Marygold, is there any border between the person and the artist?
I think certain surface elements of my art are heightened for dramatic effect. However, as far as the core message of everything I produce, I always try to be really honest and authentic. There’s not much of a difference at the root of it.
Talent, artistical education, determination and luck, according to you what’s the most important of
these in order to have success?
Hmm… Good question! I really think it depends on what you’re trying to accomplish as an artist. Everyone has their own definition of success. For me, I think all elements you listed hold equal weight. I would also include having a positive mindset; it’s hard to be successful when you’re not in a good headspace.
Do you comply more to your head or to your heart?
A strong and a weak point of Marygold?
A strength of mine is being able to look at situations objectively. A weakness is overthinking.
What can a dream be useful for? Have you got many?
A dream can be useful for inspiring projects. Haha, yes, I have too many dreams!
What’s happiness for Marygold?
I feel happiest when things are at peace- within the world, within relationships, within myself. I want to live a life of making art and genuine connection with others.
Thanks a lot Marygold you’ve been very kind. Voce Spettacolo wishes you all the best in your career and life.
