Il nostro redattore Vito “Nik Hollywood” ha intervistato la modella Nadine von Flüe. Di seguito l’intervista per voi lettori.
Hi Nadine!! It’s a great pleasure to have you as our guest on Vocespettacolo.com. Lets’ start from the first question.. Let’s have a jump into the past. What was your dream since when you were a kid? What would you like to do?
Hi, the pleasure is all mine, thank you. To be honest I never thought I would be at the point in my life, where I am right now.
As a child I always imagined me working as a veterinarian being married with children at 25. And now everything seems to be going in a totally different direction, but I really like it that way.
I currently work as a model and I try to do my best to get as many jobs as possible. I think when you work hard, you will be able to achieve everything you dream of.
How did you start and how was your first experience in the industry?
It’s quite funny how I started, because I never thought I would be working as a Model one day.
I started working as a Make Up Artist and Stylist and made friends with a lot of photographers while doing so. One day, one of them asked me if he could take some pictures of me, which was the first time I was in front of the camera. I felt very uncomfortable at first because I didn’t like being in the center of attention. But shortly after that, more and more of my photographer friends wanted to work with me, so I got used to being a model and started liking it more and more.
Can you tell us something about your experience?
I gained a lot of experience in the fashion and beauty industry in Switzerland. It is not as big as in other countries, but I still learned a lot from it. My only bad experience was due to bad event organization. But as long as the people are fun, things can never really be that bad.
I only started to take the modelling thing seriously at the beginning of this year, because I got the chance to walk in Paris for some fashion shows. And since then I met a lot of people and a lot of business partners. One job followed the other until I got the amazing chance to walk at the Cannes Fashion Festival for Michael Costello. It was really a motivating experience, which makes me want to take my career to the next level.
What’s the best and worst aspect of your job?
The best thing about modelling is being able to travel. You really see so many different and beautiful places and are able to meet a lot of different people.
Right now, I’m also working in an office job, which makes it quite difficult sometimes to handle all the different schedules of the modelling jobs. I depend a little on my office working hours. So I’m not free to do every job that I would like to do and can’t travel as much as I would love to travel. But with the right organization is everything possible.
I think the worst thing about fulltime modelling is of course that you always have to be certain that you get paid for a job.
How do you handle the pressure that this type of job involves?
For me the most important thing is to be surrounded by my family and friends. They give me strength for every situation.
What does Nadine like the most about herself and what the less?
I think everybody likes certain things about themselves more than other. But the point is, that we should try to accept ourselves as we are, with all our flaws, because nobody’s perfect.
What are your best satisfactions you had in your life and career?
I’m really thankful for every experience. The good ones and also the bad ones.
I think a really good experience for me was to be chosen for some big fashion shows. I never thought that I could also be a runway model. That was the best sign for me that you can achieve whatever you want in your life. You only have to work hard for it.
What are your project for the future ?
I got so many projects right now, I don’t even know where to start haha. But of course I’m gonna put some more effort into my model work and let’s see what the future brings.
Thanks a lot Nadine, you’ve been very kind. Voce Spettacolo wishes you all the best in your career and life.
