Di Vito “Nik H.” Nicoletti
Hi Hassan. It’s a great pleasure to have you as our guest on vocespettacolo.com Lets’ start from the first question…Where did your inspiration come for your single Freestyle Fiesta?
The songs talks about parties I used to have with my friends. I wanted to capture in a song a really energetic, fun party in a song where you see crazy things and you are just there enjoying life, being yourself and having an incredible time with your friends.
How did you get into the industry?
I got in the music industry by networking with many people and going to events related to the industry. I started working at with friends of mine writing songs for other artists and suddenly bigger opportunities start coming out, like touring with an Artist called Leo Dan, writing a song for an amazon prime movie, recording and singing music for commercials and getting more opportunities to showcase my music to the world. I would say that I got into the industry by going out and not been afraid of meeting new people.
How do you balance your personal life with your work life?
They way that I balance my life is to take rest every now and then and do things that disconnect me a little bit from my work, even though I am always thinking about music, writing new songs, improving my streams and my shows. I also take time to talk on the phone with my family and with friends since that help me recharge with positive energies so that I can continue working.
If you could go and work with any artist right now who would it be?
I would love to work with Gorillaz. I am big fan of their style of music and I love the collaborations they always do with different artists, I think there could be a possibility of doing a collaboration with them. I also would love to collaborate with Residente or Calle 13.
Best advice ever given to you?
The best advice that has been given to me is to be myself and not be afraid to fail, its important to be strong and know that in order to become a master you first need to fall and do mistakes, in order to be great at something you have to be bad at the beginning and not be afraid of it because the more you do it, the better you will become on it.
What are your thoughts on fame?
Fame is something that can come from hard work and dedication, I think it can be good to have it, but not to let fame change you on a bad way.
What’s a normal day like in your life?
A normal day looks like, waking up, working out, starting reading and replying emails, work on some music production, maybe the composition of a new song or a recording that I have to continue, then some days I teach bass and guitar lessons, and then at night a livestream for my amazing fans some days on a platform called Twitch and others on a platform called Sessions.
How is Covid affecting your work?
Covid has changed my work since there are no more gigs or tours I can be part for now. But it has given the opportunity to reinvent and innovate on an online manner, that’s why I have focused more on streaming and connecting with other people online, it’s has been awesome because I have reach people from other parts of the world like the UK, Panama, Japan, Indonesia and other countries.
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
My family has always had a big support in what I do, my mom has always support me and help go through tough times, I am grateful to have great parents that have definitely support and understand my decisions towards being an artist.
Was your family supported of your career when you told them you wanted to be a singer?
Thankfully my family has always supported me with my decision, they have given me a hand because they have seen how important my goals were and how decided I was to pursue my dreams. I am really grateful for them accepting and helping me in my path.
Thanks a lot Hassan, you’ve been very kind. Voce Spettacolo wishes you all the best in your career and life.
