BAFTA Cymru’s annual ceremony honours excellence in broadcasting and production within film, games and television in Wales and will take place on 8 October at St David’s Hall, Cardiff.
The 1966 Aberfan disaster in Wales will feature heavily at next month’s ceremony following the announcement of the nominations last Friday. The one-hour film poem Aberfan: The Green Hollow leads with seven nominations, with The Aberfan Young Wives Club and Aberfan – The Fight for Justice each receiving four. Sherlock and feature film The Lighthouseare among the other programmes, films and games receiving nominations.
