New York City, New York- July 2016-United International Film Festival (UIFF) presents a program of new international cinema

from filmmakers from across the globe. United International Film Festival (UIFF) supporters are a community of passionate

individuals and organizations that are united in their support of UIFF mission to advance the work of independent artists in film

and to share their stories with the world. The UIFF community understands that fresh perspectives from visionary storytellers are

essential for a healthy and vibrant society.

On Saturday, July 30, 2016 UIFF will host a day of networking and special screenings at Producers Club Theaters in New York

City. On Sunday July 31, 2016 UIFF will host a special evening of networking, red-carpet gala, special screenings and an award

ceremony at SVA Theatre in New York City. More information about the event is available on the UIFF website.

Intersection: Directed by Tim French.Written by Michael French and Tim French. Starring Hoyt Richards, Tony Longo, Bonnie

Hellman and David Kagen. (USA) A guilt-ridden man who blames himself for the accidental death of his only child meets a

mysterious beautiful woman in the same remote town where the fateful car crash occurred. There is a spark between them. But

she carries a dark past. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 1:40pm-3pm at Producers Club Theatre.

Alma: Directed and written by Diego Rougier. Starring Dayana Amigo, Paz Bascuñán and Esteban Bigliardi. (Chile | Argentina)

Alma is a funny bipolar woman that kicks her husband out of the house because he is tired of her illness. He will do everything it

Dumbbells: Directed by Christopher Livingston. Written by Brian Drolet and Hoyt Richards. Starring Hoyt Richards, Brian

Drolet and Taylor Cole. (USA) A former basketball star suffering from a knee injury looks to rehab himself at a rundown Los

Angeles gym. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 5pm – 6:33pm at Producers Club Theatre.

You Carry Me: Directed and written by Ivona Juka. Starring Lana Baric, Vojislav Brajovic and Natasa Janjic. (Croatia |

Slovenia | Serbia) No treason, no surrender. Screeningwill be on July 30, 2016 from 6:40pm – 9:15pm at Producers Club


Follow Me: Directed and written by Dieter-Michael Grohmann. Starring Shantala Pepe. (Austria) Attempting to escape from her

inner self followed by panic attacks as well as quiet moments, the protagonist eventually faces her demons. Afflicted by doubts

and quiet desperation she realizes that there is only one way out: to let go and give herself over to what is meant to be. Screening

will be on July 30, 2016 from10am -10:06am at Producers Club Theatre.

Harmonica: Directed by and written by Ye Kuang. Starring Kai Valerius, Jessica Taylor Haid and Marcus Karlsson. (USA)

Pedro Cano: Directed by Alfonso Burgos Risco. Written by Carmen Castillo Moriano and Alfredo Cuervo Pando. Starring

Pedro Cano, María Garres, Anastasiya Kouras, Yolanda Martínez and Helena Rodríguez Crespo. First of two documentaries

about Pedro Cano in which two meetings with students for the exchange of ideas on the subject of working process of the

Murcian artist in his Travel Notebooks are recorded. In this first documentary meeting with students it is conducted in the study

of Pedro Cano in Blanca. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 10:22am -10:25am at Producers Club Theatre.

El Audífono: Directed by Samuel Quiles Palop. Starring Ignasi Alba, Conchi Almeda, Pepe Puche Serrano, María Alfonsa

Rosso and Margarita Calatayud. She only cares about her cats, because they disappear in strange circumstances. Screening will

Wintersreise: Directed and written by Susanne Boeing. Starring Hermann Beyer, Yorck Dippe, Nagmeh Alaei, Trixi Janson and

Emil Schwarz. Walter is waiting at the last station of his journey through life. His family and friends all know what is best for

him. But in the end they have to understand that his ending belongs only to him. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from

The Border: Directed and written by Norman Tamkivi. Starring Matthew P Hyde, James Ayling, John McLear and Guy Oliver-

Watts. (United Kingdom) After a global nuclear and chemical war a disciplined military captain Thomas is tasked with

toughening up a young and kind soldier Landon, who is unable to shoot innocent refugees, only to find out the truth about the

system he lives in. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 11:35 -11:41:23am at Producers Club Theatre.

Encore: Directed by Jerry Suh. "A piece of encouragement can mean a world to someone" Encore is my senior thesis film

produced at Savannah College of Art and Design. A girl with a passion for music struggles to continue playing as no one accepts

her "terrible" music until a street musician shows her something very special. Screening on July 30, 2016 from 11:42-11:45am at Producers Club Theatre.

Masheenee Alcketiara: Directed by Ema Shah. Written by Ema Shah and Adnan Al Sharhan. Starring Hussain Ali, Dax, Al

Mojadi and Noor.( Kuwait) A traditional Kuwaiti girl seeking life beyond her society, to achieve her ambitions and dreams in

the modern era, to sing, to dance, and to flourish. We don't know for sure if it's a dream or reality. Entertainment and Humor. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 11:45 – 11:51am at Producers Club Theatre.

Ebru: Directed and written by Jennifer Merchant. Starring Angelique Merchant, Etonio Providence, Jennifer Merchant and

Johannes Bartl. (Netherlands | United States) Ebru- a young muslim, born and raised in Amsterdam- likes to party. She returns

home with a broken shoe heel. The next day she visits the shoe repair to fix her shoe. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from

11:51am- 12:12pm at Producers Club Theatre.

Last Writes: Directed by Peewee Piemonte. Written by Sarah Carbiener. Starring Raymond Forchion, Lance Henriksen, Julie

Michaels and Timothy Walker. (United States) When a woman, tired of her unsupported family, decided to find out about her

banished Uncle after he dies, she falls upon a plethora of "love letters" written to him during WWII. She sets out to find the

author of the letter who only goes by "B". Who she finds as her uncles love, is quite different that she had imagined, but the love she experiences is the kind she could only hope for in her own life. Screening will be on July 31, 2016 from 5pm – 5:09pm at

SVA Theatre.

Legend of Dark Rider: The Beginning Directed and written by Titus Paar. Starring Stefan Cronwall, Ralf Beck, Urban

Bergsten and Tommi Korkeamäki. (Sweden) A story that has lasted for generations, about the Dark Rider. A beast none has

survived, a monster, not human. Screening wil be on July 31, 2016 from 5:10pm – 5:30:18pm at SVA Theatre.

Adele: Hello Directed by Xavier Dolan. Starring Adele and Tristan Mack Wilds. ( United Kingdom) Adele returns to the scene

with her new song "Hello". With a new song and a brand new music video Adele shows betrayal, regret and sorrow. Screening will be on July 31, 2016 from 5:31pm – 5:37 at SVA Theatre.

Exit: Directed by Gustavo Coletti. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 9:15pm – 10:52pm at Producers Club Theatre.

Kiss of Death: Directed by Timothy Collins. Written by Timothy Collins and Jillian Kibler. Starring Léa Boulch, Forest Jones

and Kathryn Telford. (USA) A young thief and his wife prepare to flee town by sunrise, until the arrival of a mysterious stranger

halts their plans. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 12:12pm – 12:23pm at Producers Club Theatre.

Send Hollywood My Love: Directed by Deborah Richards. Written by Deborah Richards and Kyle Anderson. Starring Christine

Vienna, Vene L. Arcoraci and Dean Mauro . (USA) When artist Jack Van Gough writes his first ever screenplay (Zarks. Zombie

Sharks) nobody expected it to become the most profitable movie of all time. Two years on and Tinsel Town wants to know if

Julia: Directed by Daniele Joi. Written by Sabrina Percario and Nil Simsek. Starring Sabrina Percario and Bella Silverstein.

(USA) After the death of her mom caused by a sudden heart attack, a grieving daughter struggles to decide if she should pack

her stuff and move to Los Angeles, until she receives the encouragement from someone she wasn't expecting at all. Screening

A Children’s Song: Directed by Shayna Cohen. Written by Shayna Cohen and Zhuofei Song. Starring Jane Wu, Leann Lei,

and Cindera Che. (USA) When two students competing for a music scholarship discover that their original compositions are

based on a single family song, both are determined to prove ownership, leading them to uncover the long lost true origin of the

melody: a story of salvation and hope when over 20,000+ Jews emigrated to Shanghai during WWII. Screening will be on July

30, 2016 from 1:03pm – 1:30pm at Producers Club Theatre.

Silent Light: Directed by Jakkarin Thepvong. Written by Simon Cross. Starring Emily Seeboonruang, Zoë Lillian, Brian Ramian

and Christina Morrell. ( USA) Bee, a girl from Thailand living with the host family in United States, is joining a trip to the

family vacation in the countryside. The atmosphere of the place has awaken her past memory and it haunts her spiritually and

Determined Spirits: Directed and written by Diana Rumjahn. Starring Diana Rumjahn. (USA) Using Chinese superstition, an

Brother’s Keeper: Directed and written by Stephen Parry. Starring Mason D. Davis, Oscar Sanchez and Channon Voyce. (USA)

Let There Be Peace: Directed and written by Donald Watson. Starring Donald Watson and Nora Anderson. (USA) Short film

adaptation of unknown poet C. Richard Miles' poem Let There Be Peace. Stories depict modern times and the freewill toward

peace. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 2:19pm – 2:25pm at Producers Club Theatre.

The Stradivari: Directed and written by Karolina Mikolajczak. (USA) Sam, a traditional violin maker, after inheriting family-

owned bankrupt violin shop must fight for his father's legacy with his innovative mother, Barbara, in the new era of electric

instruments and progress in order to save the shop. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 2:25pm – 2:35pm at Producers Club

This Modern Man Is Beat: Directed by Alex Merkin. Written by David J Schroeder and Fawzy Zablah. Starring Jordi Vilasuso,

Sheena Colette and Brad Greenquist. (USA) In a world of cultural confusion and erroneous judgment, Habib bin Habib al Fulan

pawns his guitar and reconciles with his wife. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 2:54pm – 3:12pm at Producers Club


As We Say Goodbye: Directed and written by Jhosimar Vasquez. Starring Nicole Sucar, Thaddeaus Ek and Christine Kent.

Danny Boy: Directed and written by Christian Vogeler. Starring Sterling Knight and Jim Turner. (USA) On the morning of

September 11, 2001 in Brooklyn, New York, a young man's court sentencing is unexpectedly postponed and he's given one last chance for redemption. Screening will be on July 30, 2016 from 4:39 – 5:03pm at Producers Club Theatre.

Reversed Destiny: Directed and written by Hideki Kiyota. Starring William Jousset, Samarah Conley, and Gregory Cole.

(USA) An African-American boy and an old Caucasian man meet by chance, and the boy feels a strong relationship with him

Kun Fayakun: Directed and written by Dharius Zulkefli. Starring Ignacyo Matynia, Peyton Bristol, William Jousset and Ross

Pivec. (USA) Henry is in a vegetative state and in order to recover he has to battle his demons and find salvation. Throughout his

journey, he faces multiple obstacles as he finds the will to awaken from what could be his eternal slumber. Screening will be on

Home: Directed by Thanika Jenjesda. Written by Brian LaGuardia. Starring Shannon McLemore and John Polce. (USA) A

naive young nurse with a great sense of generosity allows a disheveled old homeless man into her home. Although the man

clearly has psychological problems, she forces him to stay for her own mysterious reasons. Screening will be on July 30, 2016

Rewritten: Directed by Anthony Mandler. (USA) Anthony Mandler visually expresses Perry Farrell's passion for breaking all of

the rules in this highly stylized spot that celebrates the rock & roll rebel, the rulebreaker, the master, and the maker. Screening

TIME: Directed by Floria Sigismondi. (USA) A visual exploration of the transcendental nature of time and the idyllic constructs

The Intimate Realities of Water: Directed and written by Adrian Parr. (USA)The Intimate Realities of Water is a series of

cinematic portraits that examine the power dynamics of water and slums. The film is a social commentary that also chronicles the

complex relationship between water, poverty, gender, sanitation, health, and development in shantytowns. Screening will be on

July 30, 2016 from 6:25 – 7:10pm at Producers Club Theatre.
