La Hollywood Creative Alliance ha annunciato oggi i vincitori degli Astra Midseason Movie Awards 2024. Tutti i film nominati sono usciti tra il 1° gennaio 2024 e il 30 giugno 2024.

Dune di Denis Villeneuve: Part Two, che ha ricevuto sette nomination, si è aggiudicato tre premi, tra cui miglior film, miglior regia per Denis Villeneuve e miglior attore non protagonista per Austin Butler.

Challengers di Amazon MGM Studios e Love Lies Bleeding di A24 si sono piazzati al secondo posto, ricevendo due premi ciascuno. Zendaya ha vinto come miglior attrice, mentre Justin Kuritzkes ha vinto come miglior sceneggiatura. Il secondo film di Rose Glass, Love Lies Bleeding, ha vinto come miglior film indipendente e come miglior attrice non protagonista per Katy O’Brian.

Tra le altre vittorie degne di nota, la star e co-sceneggiatore di Hit Man di Netflix Glen Powell si è aggiudicato il premio per il miglior attore, mentre The Fall Guy della 87North Production ha vinto il premio per le migliori acrobazie.

In passato, gli HCA Midseason Movie Awards hanno previsto le future candidature agli Oscar, tra cui Everything Everywhere All At Once, Elvis, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, Past Lives, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse e Top Gun: Maverick.
